Multivisionnaire Pictures Returns to the Cannes Marché du Film with New, Gripping Titles

The international film distribution team at Multivisionnaire Pictures is honored to premiere a diverse lineup of compelling titles to the 2025 Marché du Film in Cannes, France. Ranging from romantic comedies to dystopian thrillers to supernatural Kung Fu comedies, this year’s lineup is a must-see.

Eat. Love. Joy. “20 Pounds To Happiness” is a romantic comedy from the mind of Josefina López — a “companion piece” to Real Women Have Curves, López’s 1990 Broadway stage play and its 2002 film adaptation for which she received a Sundance award. 20 Pounds To Happiness follows a full-figured Latina in a Real Women Have Curves support group who must make the difficult decision between her loyalty to her friends and the man of her dreams. López has teamed up with Yelyna De León for De León’s directorial debut. De León, the actress turned actress/director, also stars as the film’s protagonist in addition to co-producing the film with López.

20 Pounds to Happiness” will debut at the Marché du Film at Cannes Film Festival with a market screener on Wednesday, May 14 in Screening Room Palais C.

From Highball TV comes “Wild Dogs”, an action feature that centers the lives of security contractors Jin and Saied, two good guys gone dubious. Their job is to protect their city’s elites but — when they realize their role in a wide-spanning criminal conspiracy, they must step up to the plate in a way they’ve never done before. Directed by Andre Rehal.

Non-stop action feature “Agent Shaan: Elite Pursuit” is one man against the inhumanity: special force agent Shaan heads on an Elite Pursuit of the truth behind a complex human trafficking network in Southeast Asia. As the investigation unfolds and more people suffer at the hands of this syndicate, Shaan will grapple with his understanding of justice while he tracks down the elusive criminal mastermind responsible. Directed by M Raahim.

Brazil is 2025’s Country of Honour at the Marché du Film! Brazil’s very own creature sci-fi feature Warhead: The World Is No Longer Ours (original title “Ogiva: O Mundo Não é Mais Nosso”) begs the question: How can you fight for a world that is no longer yours? First came the monsters, then came the warheads. Now, former police officer Pilar fights for survival in a devastated world, clinging to the fragments of hope she still has left while a new purpose blossoms in her heart. Between alien creatures and men deep in the throes of insanity, Pilar’s great conflict remains in her own head. Directed by Cadu Rosenfeld.

In meet cute Rom-Com “Match Me if You Can,” an online matchmaking service rejects Kip as “unmatchable.” Her quick-witted video rebuttal turns her into an overnight internet sensation and the poster child for “unmatchables” everywhere. It’s not too long before Kip is on a romantic collision course with the equally nerdy Riley, who runs the company that rejected her. Kip must grapple with the age-old conundrum of wanting to be loved while trying to remain true to oneself. Directed by Marian Yeager.

Will she escape the curse of her fate? “Medusa: Serpent Beauty” tells the story of Anna, a girl with a strange lineage: she is half-human and half-serpent with the bloodline from the ancient Snake King. Anna must wear a ring that makes her seem human. If she removes it, she becomes a monster with a head of living snakes and a gaze that turns unwitting people to stone. Anna and her father Sutad relocate often due to his fear that the world will discover that his daughter is a monster. When they move to a new village, Anna falls in love and causes a series of mysteries that attract the attention of an agent who must investigate these strange murders that science can’t explain. Directed by Lee Thongkham.

Tony has a secret and it is blood-chilling. “Kung Fu Slayers tells the story of a vampire — a retired martial arts actor who has sworn off drinking blood. He’s living a life of mundanity until an evil Kung Fu vampire clan kidnaps his son, shattering his peace and forcing him back out of retirement. With the help of his blood-addicted ex-wife and an unlikely crew of allies, he must find his son and stop the eruption of a supernatural war. Directed by Benny Tjandra.
