Southeast Asia’s Horror Thriller “Motel Melati” Premiers at the European Film Market in Berlin.

International Film Distributor, MultiVisionnaire Pictures, is introducing the MOTEL MELATI outside of Southeast Asia and Taiwan — the film will premiere at 2024 European Film Market (EFM) with its first industry screening. After a theatrical run, this elevated supernatural horror launched on Netflix at No. 2 in Southeast Asia. The films is co-directed by Mike Wiluan and Billy Christian, co-produced by Infinite Frameworks Studios in Singapore/Indonesia (co-producers of Westworld 3 and Warner Bros Crazy Rich Asians in Singapore) and Catchplay in Taiwan. The film stars Alexandra Gottardo, Kiki Narendra, Fandy Christian and Samuel Panjaitan. Motel Melati was an official selection of SITGES International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia.

A haunted inn with dark tales weaved within its walls, where the guests check in to their worst nightmares and never checked out. Taking place in Indonesia, originally an old Dutch colonial estate belonged to a doctor performing horrific experiments on bodies to obtain the “key of life.” The current host, Madam Melati (Alexandra Gottardo), accepted the shadow’s curse, gained eternal life and took over the estate where unsuspecting guests have to face their darkest nightmares to their death.

The EFM screening of MOTEL MELATI will take place on Sunday February 18th at 3:40pm at Cinemaxx 13.
